InfraEn is catalysing smart water supply system in Tamil Nadu
InfraEn has been appointed as the Consultancy service for “the preparation of Detailed Feasibility Report (DFR) and model Bid documents for Supply, delivery, installation of smart water meters in the head works, booster station, GLSRs, group sump, Panchayat sumps/OHTs where the supply is directly from pumping/ gravity main instead of from Panchayat sumps, receiving all the particulars from all smart water meters, and forming the centralized monitoring system where data from all smart meters are collected and made into actionable data for assessing billed quantity and automatic generation of billing purpose.”
With this project, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board has intended to create a centralized monitoring system where data from all smart meters are collected and made into actionable data for assessing billed quantity and automatic generation of billing purpose.
Scope of Work under this project includes utilization of the data available in TWAD board and undertake field trips to validate the data if necessary to arrive at the feasibility and modality of connecting electro-magnetic flow meters from headworks to beneficiaries for all CWSS under maintenance of TWAD Board with Geo-tagging. Arrive at the feasibility and modalities of arriving at suitable data transmission platforms to be installed near flow meters that transmit data wirelessly (IOT) to the proposed centralised monitoring system in TWAD Board headquarters. Data transmission Components and protocol to be implemented by keeping in view the sustainability of the system proposed and longevity of the data transmission system. Analyse the detailed feasibility of housing the proposed electromagnetic flow meters and the data transmission unit in a separate enclosure and provisions including power supply, network, etc., shall be added accordingly. Analyse the detailed feasibility and shall arrive at physical requirements of building centralised monitoring system in TWAD Board Head Office, Chennai. The consultant explore the feasibility and arrive at sufficient reporting formats at beneficiary wise, scheme wise, district wise, region wise the water quantity pumped at Head works and supplied at beneficiary level and help quantify the non- revenue water. Linking the existing billing system in TWAD Board Head office with the proposed system. Preparation of Detailed Feasibility Report, Bill of quantities, Specifications, Detailed Project Report etc., for Jal Jeevan Mission funded schemes separately. Suggesting suitable financing model to be implemented for the project, including preparation of Detailed Feasibility Report, Detailed Project Report, specifications, Bill of quantities for all the other projects.
This project will be a game changer for smart management of the entire Water Supply system of Tamil Nadu and thereby creating a model for other states in the country.
